The Makita 40V max XGT 4.0Ah Battery is engineered to outlast the competition. XGT Batteries feature an advanced design with an impact-resistant outer case and shock-absorbing inner-liner that are engineered to protect the battery in harsh jobsite environments. XGT Batteries also feature rigid rails with impact-resistant construction to secure the battery to the tool during high-demand applications.

Built-in microchips in both XGT tools and batteries allow for real-time digital communication, actively monitoring heat, overload, and over-discharge. This enhanced technology delivers up to 2x longer sustained power during demanding applications, as well as optimizes battery life and delivers a faster charge. The battery reaches a full charge in only 45 minutes or less.

XGT is Makita’s most powerful system, and is built to handle high-demand applications. What sets XGT Batteries apart is their internal components. Rare earth magnets of the highest quality are engineered within the brushless motors to maximize power and performance. XGT products feature purpose-built brushless motors with more copper windings for increased power output.

Makita XGT Batteries are impact-absorbent thanks to their durable outer casing and cell holder. These features create space within the battery to absorb impact when accidentally dropped. XGT Batteries also feature a water- and dust-resistant triple layer structure and an enhanced terminal structure, which are engineered to protect against water and dust for any job site condition.
